Currahee Mountain, or "Stand Alone Mountain" in Cherokee, is a great 3 mile ascent trail to beautiful views!  Maintained Forest Service road but it gets steep at the top.  Right before the Towers is a great rock overlook area.  At the trailhead there is an Aviation Museum.  Plan this adventure with a hike to Toccoa Falls and then explore the Lake Russell State WMA to find more waterfalls and rock formations!

Yes!  Not rough terrain but steep, maintained gravel.

Where Do We Camp?

Unfortunately there is no camping onsite but there is plenty to explore and find campsites in the Lake Russell State WMA!
